Mikael K Kingsbury of Canada won the 78th FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup in Utah's Deer Valley Resort on Saturday night. He did so by winning the men's dual-moguls event. In the final, he defeated Australia's Matt Graham. The Canadian won his third gold medal and sixth World Cup title.

Kingsbury led the race for most of it, but Graham caught on to him near the end of the course. He fell in the final run and Kingsbury won the gold medal, his 78th World Cup win.
Thenault's Olympic debut
Thenault is looking to make a lasting impression in her Olympic debut, which was Saturday's final for the men's Freestyle Skiing Moguls. She started skiing only in 2017, but has a background in gymnastics.
Thenault was the clear winner of the qualifiers. She placed in the last four for each of her three runs. To win the gold, she will have to do at least a double full-full (two flips and three twists), or a triple fully full (three twists and three flips) during the finals.
